in 2003? Now its 2012, and Whitehall and Parliament
Square are also traffic free zones. The Horseguards
Parade is host to the volleyball Olympics, and the
Palace of Westminster's foreground is a riverside
park. London is an ecological sanctuary.

You arrive at Waterloo with clear views up to the
river and the London Eye. Embankment is a recreational
green that stretches along the banks of the Thames.
Now that the river is so clean and the tides are
controlled, there are beaches and swimming areas,
with a string of public jetties and piers adorning
the South side.
